“Ethics Mind Pilot”: CNCP & CNRIPH

An experiment to strengthen the ethical evaluation of clinical research

“Ethics Mind Pilot” - an experiment to strengthen the ethical evaluation of clinical research

Brain&Mind and the CNCP (National Conference of Human Protection Committees) are setting up, with the support of the CNRIPH (National Commission for Research Involving the Human Person), an unprecedented experiment: ETHICS MIND PILOT.

The objective of this project is simple and ambitious: optimize interactions between CPP and promoters in order to increase efficiency in the evaluation of clinical research protocols.

How does the “Ethics Mind Pilot” work?

As of September 1, 2025 and for a period of one year, each sponsor submitting a protocol within the scope of the co-founding clinical sites of Brain & Mind may, if they wish, request the holding of a videoconference with the CPP handling the case.

This exchange time will allow answer the committee's questions live during the examination of the protocol, and thus to streamline the investigation of research projects.

What protocols are involved?

“Ethics Mind Pilot” is exclusively aimed at

  • Interventional protocols (drugs or medical devices)
  • Relating to neurology, psychiatry or sensory disabilities
  • Involving an investigator from one of the clinical sites co-founders of Brain & Mind: Fondation Fondamental, Fondation Rothschild Hospital, GHU Sainte-Anne, iHUS ICM, ReConnect, Imagine, Imagine, Imagine, Foresight, ICE

An evaluated and shared experiment

The impact of this system will be measured at 6 months and at 1 year via a questionnaire sent to the CPPs and the promoters concerned.

These returns will make it possible to decide on his sustainability and/or its improvement.
